Description

I reckon Fauré had a great feeling for the viola. You only have to experience his wonderful Requiem (in any of the numerous versions) to sense his affinity with the viola timbre. That rich sonority, the two viola sections playing in harmony, those flowing melodies, the conspicuous absence of violins. Speaks volumes.

However, having said all that, this work is nothing like the Requiem, as you will hear from the sound file. It will captivate your audiences – guaranteed. 4 mins. M
