Description
These are taken from a collection of sketches by Nielsen, possibly they were intended to be used in some later work that was never composed. Six short movements: Poco adagio, Moderato, Andante moderato, Allegretto, Adagio e tranquillo. I must admit these are particular favourites of mine, and they transport the listener to another world, with a wonderful range of colours and expression. Lots of interest in all the parts. Not at all flashy, but just very, very beautiful. 9.5 mins. E/M
