Having spent over 30 years on the symphonic concert platform with all it’s wonderful (mostly) repertoire, I feel very privileged. But it has left a conspicuous gap in my musical experience, particularly the early repertoire. So I’m delighted to present this gorgeous work by Thomas Tallis. Comprising 3 wonderful separate works that can be played individually or segue. You may recognise one of the melodies, made famous by Vaughan-Williams from his “Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis”.
You also get a choice: There are parts for 4 violas, but the first three parts can also be played on violin – or, with the exception of the 4th part, any combination thereof. Bliss! 7 mins. E
