Description
Mélanie Bonis 1858-1937 (also known as Mel) was a French composer in the romantic style, and student of Gabriel Fauré at the Paris Conservatoire. Her talent was admired by Saint-Saëns. But her personal life caused many obstacles to her musical creativity.
This work, originally for piano, is very lovely and not too difficult, lending itself perfectly to a viola quartet. I like to believe she would approve the arrangement. 5 mins. E/M
