I doubt it would ever have occurred to Scarlatti to compose a work for viola ensemble, as he was a confirmed and incurable keyboardholic, with hundreds of harpsichord works to support that diagnosis.
But that said, these wonderful works are a rich and tempting source for material ripe for violaization. All we need is a confirmed violaholic to take the bait. Wonderful! 5 mins. M/A
