Presenting a delightful three movement Viola Trio in C major – although I should add the 1st part can also be played on violin. Tomasini was also a brilliant violinist, but we won’t hold that against him.
If you were thinking this sounds a lot like something Joseph Haydn might have written, then you may be correct. Because although Tomasini was from Italy, he worked closely with Haydn for many years, and some of the grace and elegance clearly rubbed off, with maybe just a touch of Italian zest.
