Description
This is a 3 movement work (fast-slow-fast) taken from his 4th keyboard concerto, a wonderfully uplifting and buoyant adventure, always on the tips of its toes and reaching for the sky – It’s a little bit Brandenburg-ish in character. The two outer movements have the melodic interest shared throughout, and the middle movement puts the first player under the spotlight. It suits the viola quartet down to the ground. Oh joy! 15 mins.
