Utterly sublime, and yet incredibly simple. This is the glorious slow movement from Beethoven’s Choral Symphony in our arrangement for 6 violas. It is constructed from just two musical ideas: a chorale-like melody, and a rising syncopated sequence. And with each variation he subtly embellishes these melodies as only Beethoven knew how.
