Presenting a powerful work in three movements: Allegro non troppo, Allegro quasi Menuetto, Allegro. This is Brahms at his most accomplished and inspired. Originally for cello and piano, where the cello often takes an accompanying role, here we have shared the melodic interest equally between the four parts, making for an exciting exchange both musically and visually.
