Bach, C. P. E. – Two Viola Duos

Categories: ,

Presenting two duos. The first being in 2 movements, and the second in 3 movements. Both players share the melodic interest equally with lots of  interaction between the parts.
Although he was clearly well schooled by a father who is arguably one of the greatest composers of all time, his music is very different.
A new and beguiling style of music was taking off, and C. P. E. was embracing and immersing himself in it to the full.
The classical era had begun! Exciting times with a new freedom of expression and endless possibilities for a talented composer. 17 mins. M
