Description
These were taken from Ives’ work for string orchestra, being the outer movements of the original 3-movement work. They are very slow and atmospheric with complex rich harmonies and beguiling counterpoint. They arrange very well for violas, suiting the violas timbre perfectly. Luscious! 5 mins. M
