Description
I confess this work was hitherto unknown to me, it’s original form being for String Orchestra. But it violaizes extremely well into a very pleasing 6 movement Suite.
The style is classical, but in a romantic setting that makes it highly accessible both to listen and play. And the breadth of expression covers the whole spectrum.
The four parts are fairly evenly matched with lots of melodic interest all round. Yummy! 20 mins. M
