Mozart wrote many Divertimenti, yet one tends to only gets to hear one or two. And I am willing to bet you’ve never heard one for 4 violas.
Well, that’s all about to change. This particular one was originally for string orchestra in F major. But now, in a more viola-friendly tessitura with C Major, it is an absolute gem and a delight to play.
There are 3 movements. The first two parts are slightly harder than the others, but it is all very comfortable to play. 15 mins. M
