Description
This is in fact the slow movement from his 1st Symphony. Now, we already have our arrangement of the entire Symphony as a viola quartet (available on this site), but this is for viola trio – and there is a big difference when it comes down to creating this arrangement. Basically, starting from scratch from the orchestral score and, according to my rules, leaving nothing out. So as you may imagine it seemed at first to be an impossible task.
But as it progressed, suddenly it all fell into place, and this is the result.
There are a few more double stops than you might normally encounter but they all lie comfortably under the fingers, I promise. 7 mins. M/A
