Description
This is arranged from the idyllic slow movement of his 2nd piano concerto.
The original is more than just a great piece of piano repertoire, but also a superb and complex orchestral score.
The written notes look more scary than they really are. Most of the challenges with this work are down to simple reading rather than any technical issues. It actually lies under the fingers rather well – although you might not see that at first sight.
And it makes for a highly satisfying viola quartet that loses none of its former passion. Sublime! 12 mins. M/A
