Scarlatti was a composer that had the sense to stick with what he knew well. And there wasn’t much he didn’t know about keyboard writing. That said, they do arrange beautifully for viola ensemble and they are super fun to play.
I can’t imagine he would have entertained the thought of writing for viola, but I do like to think he would be pleased with the result, nevertheless.
They vary in difficulty ranging from relatively easy to fairly advanced, both from trio to trio and from part to part. But there is certainly something here that will suit most abilities. 15 mins. M M/A
