Description
Holst spent the last 20 years of his career as music teacher at St. Paul’s School, Hammersmith, London (hence his “St. Paul’s Suite”, also available for viola ensemble in this shop). This very late work was intended for the junior orchestra, and he cleverly made the original score adaptable so the wind parts could be played either with or instead of the strings.
In our version the 1st part is written entirely in the treble clef, so it can also be played on the violin – if your really must.
