Description
Presenting the 6th and final (and most violary) Brandenburg Concerto in our unique arrangement for 5 violas.
In fact what you are getting here are two entirely different arrangements of this great work:
Version 1 is scored much like the original, where the two solo violas are accompanied throughout by the others. So players’ 1 and 2 have most of the technical stuff. I would grade them M/A.
Version 2 is exciting for all the players, as the melodic interest is shared thereby creating even more melodic exchanges and complex dialogue.
As well as being for viola quintet, both versions would also work well for viola orchestra, the first version being like a concerto grosso (solos optional at your discretion), and the second version feeling more orchestral.
Fabulous! 17 mins. M
