“Presentation of the couples” is the title of the 2nd movement of his famous Concerto for Orchestra – a truly landmark work of the 20th century.
The couples are represented by pairs of instruments, each playing at their own melodic intervals. And as the couples take it in turn to present themselves to the listener it makes for both a visual spectacle as well as the unfolding musical narrative. Super fun to play. 6 mins. M
