Prokofiev – Overture on Hebrew Themes Op.34

£8.99

Description

Here’s a most unusual work from the Russian stable. Originally scored for Clarinet, 2 violins, viola, cello, and piano. It makes for a very exciting viola quartet.

It’s not easy. There are many tempo changes but they are only affirming what is already implied in the musical narrative. So they become intuitive once you are familiar with the work.

The 1st part is the most difficult, but they all have their moments. Well worth the effort. 10 mins. A/M
