Strange as it may seem, although this was originally scored for huge orchestra it actually arranges very well for four violas. And possibly even stranger as it may seem, there is nothing left out – it’s all there, I promise.
I have graded it as being suitable for Moderate to Advanced players. But in reality there is only very little high stuff for the 1st player which lies quite comfortably, but there is slightly more than my usual amount of double stops (easy ones, though) in the accompanying parts.
All the players have lots of melodic interest throughout.
